THE SHOW: A recently divorced, GenX slacker learns to navigate the woke new world with the help of his naive, tween-aged nephew. Most of Uncle Frank’s problems are of his own doing. The inherent obliviousness with which he deals with the world, triggers an endless series of misadventures that consume everyone and everything in his orbit. Uncle Frank’s blunt, throwback, MTV era attitude is juxtaposed against the modern day values and morals of the other characters and the world around him.
WHY NOW: Why? Because these days, everyone’s got a stick up their ass about everything
all the time, and Uncle Frank’s here to yank it out.

There are only two people in this world who think Uncle Frank is cool, Uncle Frank and his 12 year old nephew Larry. Uncle Frank is a throwback who still thinks the world works the way it did in 1987. He is recently divorced and living in his nephew’s basement.
Uncle Frank’s impressionable 12 year old nephew. Innocent, curious, and naive, but smart enough to know better in most situations. With his real father absent, Uncle Frank is his only male role model. God help him.
A stereotypical black, Reagan-era welfare queen who’s currently filling in as Larry’s mom.
Gay neighbor who lives next door. Friends with Uncle Frank and especially Larry, which doesn’t bother Uncle Frank, because he’s pretty sure Larry is already gay.
